Beer Bums Meeting – April 2014 – Easter Beers

A theme like Easter Beers can bring out the creativity in our choices.  This was a surprisingly solid and varied group of beers.  The Choklat was an obvious standout and I am really digging the new Dogfish Head Aprihop label.

Beer Bums Meeting – March 2014 – Porters and Stouts

Porters and Stouts turned into a great theme for March.  It has been very cold of late so these went along perfectly with the weather.  A very good group of beers with the Southern Tier Choklat a nice treat.

Beer Bums Meeting – October 2013 – Oktoberfest Beers

Ahh October and the return of fall, or soon I suppose.  This was our typical October/Oktoberfest theme and it never gets old, at least since it’s been a year.  I have yet to have the Ayinger and it was really good.  The Spaten Oktoberfest is one of my gateway beers, and it was great to revisit it.

Beer Bums Meeting – September 2012 – Gateway Beers

The theme for this month was to bring your Gateway beer.  The beer that got you started drinking better craft beers over your traditional mass market beers.  It was definitely an interesting group of beers and I’m sorry Will, but I still don’t quite get how Mickey’s was your Gateway Beer.  Although the hand grenade is pretty sweet.  To each his own I suppose.
